In making a booking with us, by telephone, e-mail or in writing, the Group Retreat Attendee is understood to have read and accepted the terms and conditions below. INSURANCE Attendees are advised to take out insurance at the time of, or prior to, making a booking. We recommend that insurance covers loss of deposit and other monies through cancellation, loss or damage to personal items, loss of money, accident, illness or death and expenses arising from these situations, or other insurable risk. Your insurance responsibility is your responsibility and any claims should be taken up with the company providing the insurance service. TRAVEL The Attendee agrees that they are responsible for their own travel arrangements and travel costs to the Programme. Any travel recommendations are made in good faith by us. No responsibility can be taken by us for any unsatisfactory outcome arising from travel arrangements. ACCOMMODATION The Arrigo Programme endeavours to provide the accommodation requested by you. In the event of any circumstances that may affect this ability, we reserve the right to alter accommodation by notice. If similar alternative arrangements are provided by us no refund or compensation is due. If accommodation of a lesser nature is provided, credit will be offered to the advertised difference in value only. BOOKING The Attendee agrees to pay a non-refundable deposit on booking, with the balance paid in full 4 weeks prior to the retreat date. If the booking is being made within 4 weeks of the Retreat date, the retreat cost is to be paid in full. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion. Any retreat place is not transferable to others unless pre-agreed by us. We reserve the right to cancel or modify deposit requested, itineraries or bookings where circumstances require. PAYMENT Payment by bank transfer is preferred, transfer details are on the Booking Form. Pound Sterling is requested otherwise an additional sum will be required to cover bank charges and any exchange rate shortfall. The full cost of the retreat is payable fully to have full confirmation of the retreat place. CANCELLATION / NON-ATTENDANCE Deposits are non-refundable. The total value of your booking is non-refundable if cancelled by you less than 3 weeks prior to the retreat start date. In the event of non-attendance, no monies are refundable. The Arrigo Programme advises all Attendees to have insurance in place to cover for any personal need to cancel, emergency or any event that prevents attendance of the retreat. The Arrigo Programme reserves the right to cancel a retreat if circumstances arise that require this action. In the unlikely event of a Retreat being cancelled by us, we are only liable to offer an alternative retreat place of the same value as paid by the Attendee. Any alternative retreat place is to be redeemed within 18 months of issue. FORCE MAJEURE The Arrigo Programme is not liable to offer any compensation when a change or cancellation is caused due to ‘Force Majeure’ circumstances or events, which we, or our suppliers, have no direct control over and could not reasonably foresee or avoid. ‘Force majeure’ includes war or threat of war, riots, civil disobedience or strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, acts of God, pandemics, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, flood, technical or maintenance problems with transport and changes of schedules or operational decisions of transport providers, closure of airports or any unforeseeable or unavoidable event beyond the control of The Arrigo Programme or its suppliers. LIABILITY The Arrigo Programme has no liability for any loss or damage arising from negligence or act of any supplier, other third party or other Attendee. We cannot be responsible for the loss or damage of your luggage or personal possessions. We cannot be liable for claims for consequential loss where special needs have not been received in writing at the time of booking. In circumstances where liability of The Arrigo Programme cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to a credit to the value of the payment made by the Attendee. We accept no responsibility or liability for any illness, personal injury or death caused to you or a fellow Attendee. All retreats are undertaken at your own risk.
