Jo
Jo is an experienced Psychotherapist, Nervous System Practitioner and Human Design Guide whose work integrates psychotherapy, neuroscience, relational psychology, somatic awareness and Human Design to support people in reconnecting with their authentic selves. With over 30 years' experience working across mental health, emotional wellbeing, education and community development, Jo brings together a diverse background that includes Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems-informed practice, attachment theory, Human Design, creative therapies and embodied approaches. Her work is grounded in the understanding that many of the ways we think, feel and relate have developed as intelligent adaptations to our life experiences rather than reflections of who we truly are.
NERVOUS SYSTEM PSYCHOLOGY & INTEGRATIVE COACHING This integrative approach combines psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, somatic awareness and coaching to support lasting change. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses, it recognises that many emotional, psychological and physical difficulties arise when the nervous system has adapted to prolonged stress, overwhelm, trauma or repeated life experiences.
RELATIONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY & COUPLES THERAPY Jo works with individuals and couples experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions and a sense of feeling disconnected from themselves or others. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, she helps clients understand the relationship between their nervous system, protective patterns, early conditioning and innate strengths, creating the conditions for lasting growth, resilience and meaningful change.
HUMAN DESIGN Human Design creates a unique chart using an individual's birth date, time and place, synthesising insights from Western Astrology, the I Ching, the Hindu-Brahmin Chakra System, the Kabbalah and contemporary understandings of human energetics and biology. Its greatest value lies in helping people distinguish the person they were born to be from the conditioning they have accumulated throughout life. Each Human Design journey begins with a comprehensive written report followed by an in-depth consultation. For many clients, this becomes an anchor for ongoing therapeutic work, providing a compassionate framework through which psychotherapy, nervous system regulation and coaching can be integrated to support deep and sustainable transformation.
